Children aged 12 and above will be charged the same as adults. Children aged 5-12 who are able to sit through a movie screening without disruption are welcome to attend at no charge.

*As part of traditional Haldi-Kunku, it is customary for the women attendees to receive a gift. To make it fun and exciting, we will be arranging a gift exchange at the STLMM haldi-kunku. Attendees that would like to participate in the gift exchange are required to bring in a wrapped gift costing about $5. From the pool of all such gifts, participants will get a randomly drawn gift that they get to keep. In the interest of time, there will be no subsequent gift swapping. Participation in the gift exchange is not mandatory for attending the haldi-kunku.
**We wanted to remind our Gold Members that there will be two additional free programs during the year for them to look forward to: Gudi Padwa Natak and a Networking event in Spring 2012.

The St. Louis Marathi Mandal is a member supported non-profit organization serving the Greater St. Louis area. Our mission is to enhance the cultural, social and ethical bonding among the people interested in knowing, preserving and celebrating the cultural heritage of Maharashtra, a western state of India, and to foster the spirit of service to the community at large.

Our activities include:
  • Cultural Events
We organize annual Maharashtrian Festivals like Gudi Padwa, Ganeshotsav, Diwali. These festivals give the community a chance to renew the cultural ties and encourage children to learn about the culture.
  • Theatre Events
Maharashtra's modern theatre dates back well over 100 years. Keeping the theatrical tradition alive, we strive to organize events either through local talent or visiting theatrical groups from India.
  • Art Events
We provide platform to the local talent in Fine Arts or Performing Arts by organizing presentations in performing arts. We also arrange programs by visiting artists from India.
  • Games + Fun + Family = Picnic
Annual Summer picnics are fun filled events for the whole family. We organize picnics or other such group events, which boasts a mix of culture and fun!!
